Eddie Howe has largely been sensational at Newcastle United. Don’t listen to the Doom & Gloomers — a fourth-place finish in his first full season, a second season played with a skeleton squad, flesh picked from its bones by the injury and suspension, and still the Magpies muster up performances like the game-of-the-season win against West Ham.

The goals have been very much shared around for Newcastle this season. So far, 19 different players have scored for Newcastle in 2023-24. One more, and they’ll equal Manchester United’s 20 in the 2012-13 season.
