Rory Delap, Stoke City and a whole lot of fun – The Broken Metatarsal

Stoke City became one of the cult teams of the 2000s after taking the Premier League by storm under Tony Pulis – and we celebrate that wonderful period in the latest episode of The Broken Metatarsal.

Rich, Mark and Rob are joined by comedian Mark Smith on this week’s podcast as we remember Rory Delap’s throw-ins, the magic of Ricardo Fuller, that rivalry with Arsenal and Pulis headbutting James Beattie while naked.

Danny Higginbotham also joins the boys on the phone with some brilliant stories, revealing the dark arts Pulis would deploy to unsettle teams at the Britannia Stadium.

And, as always on The Broken Metatarsal, the episode finishes with a game of Fact or Fiction in which Rich attempts to work out which of the two Marks and Rob’s unlikely stories about Pulis and co are, in fact, true.
